We spent our Saturday afternoon meeting this great group of familes. All have all felt the call to adoption from Ethiopia. Some families are already home with their precious babes, others on the waitlist and others still in the paperwork process like us.
A few of these families we've been following through blogs long before we realized we were practically neighbors! Love the community and support that the blog world can offer but spending an afternoon together is priceless.
Sweet little Shaya who came home from Ethiopia in April. Such a doll and big brother Jack was a fun little guy too!
It didn't take Maggie and Sam long to attach themselves to this little one. Amelie was such a trooper and didn't seem to mind their doting too much.

More sliding with Maggie Lu. Anne-Marie and Arvin, thank you for letting my kids love on your sweetie pie.
Josie Kate and Skyler bonded over some cheetos. Could he get any cooler with those shades?
It was truly a blessed afternoon and we felt such an answer to prayers. We have been hopeful about connecting with other families that are close in proximity. Others we can pray with, support, look to for encouragment and rejoice and celebrate with when our children come home. We have much to learn from this amazing group and we genuinely look forward to building these friendships. Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon and making us feel so welcomed!

I am so glad you could go! We really wished we could have gone. Thanks for all the pix- I am living vicariously through you!

We are going to bless your family by ordering some shirts. Just wondered how they were in sizing or if they shrink a lot? We just had our adoption rummage sale and we always take some money that we raise and give to other adoption families and you were on my list. My email is funk50@charter.net and our blog is www.campfunk.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks!
