A few things

I've been a terrible blogger these past couple weeks. We've been having so much fun enjoying the sun and all the usual summer activities. Even a night away camping and if you know us this is out of the ordinary. But we had a blast and made some wonderful memories I know the kids will hold dear. They're already asking when we get to go again. This past weekend we enjoyed our town's street fair, a family 5K and super fun wedding that included swimming for the kids!

On the adoption front we are knee deep in papework and documents. Anyone that knows me knows I'm truly a procrastinator. Always have been. I liked to believe this was in my favor in college because I could always write better under pressure. While working on my Masters degree you could always tell when a paper was due because that's when our house was the cleanest. I would find anything to do other than my homework.  Even toilets. Well since receiving our binders a few weeks ago I've been working diligently to get the pieces in place. This is not a project I want to delay. My hope is to have everything we're capable of doing complete by the end of the summer. Henry is a regular topic around our house and especially from Amelia. She talks so sweetly about when her baby brother comes home from Africa. This definitely helps us keep focused on finishing up the paperwork.

We are almost done printing our second round of t-shirts. I apologize if you've been waiting. We should have them all out by Friday at the latest so if you ordered and haven't received yours yet they're soon on their way. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for the delay.

We are super excited to have the opportunity to meet some other AGCI families this weekend for a picnic. It will be so great to connect with others that are on this same journey. I'm looking forward to hearing their stories and praying we can be of encouragement to one another.

Feeling thankful for popcicle weather!
