Timing

One of the most incredible and most challenging parts about following God's plan is we can never put perimeters on His timing. Yes, we're sure we have it all figured out and we're positive that our timing and our plan would work wonderfully but I can say with complete gratitude that His timing is perfect...for that I am so thankful. When we first sent in our application we were told that we would need to raise about $10,000 in three months. My first response was great let's get going, let's start that fundraising and print our t-shirts...I want our boy!!! But as the night wore on I felt defeated and a lot of self-doubt seeped in. Those first couple days I felt like this was such an impossible task. I knew if it was going to happen it would only be because of Him but I was doubting. I tried hard not to show it but it was there. I am so thankful for the friends and family that God placed at our side in those moments. They encouraged us, made plans for fundraising with us and I am confident prayed for us. Here we are a month and a half before the deadline and we've raised $8600!! God is good. I e-mailed our agency this morning just to give an update on our progress. I waited all day for a reply. I was just really needing some encouragement today but no e-mail. I kept checking and checking but nothing. Then at about 3:00 the caller id showed the number I was familiar with. It was Tiffany calling to say she had great news.....we're officially in the program!! I actually screamed and did a happy dance in our kitchen. I was not expecting this news today...I was just looking for some uplifting words! It was hard for me to even concentrate on the next items she shared but I think I managed to get it all down. So now we wait for our big orientation packet to arrive in the mail and we have a conference call next week. I wish I could articulate the joy. I am so excited we're moving in the right direction and know we're one step closer to our Henry. Love His timing!

I have to give a shout out to Rocky and Chris for working so many hours the last couple nights getting our t-shirts done. They did such a great job and I'm so thankful for the sacrifices they made to get these finished!! If you pre-ordered I'll be contacting you soon....very soon! If you'd like to order leave me a comment and I'll get back to you. I'm hoping we can have something up here on the blog soon to make ordering simple.

One more sweet note about timing. Not only was today our official "start the program" day but it was also the one year anniversary of Lucy Lane's Gotcha day. The precious babe who was part of our inspiration celebrated one year with her forever family today. The family had a video made and it's a must watch. If you watched her Gotcha Day video you know to grab your kleenex. If you didn't ...consider yourself warned. Also, if you look closely you just might see some familiar faces!
